Board

An FPGA Board is a platform that includes the components required for a working FPGA system. Sometimes they are called by other names, such as:

 * FPGA Prototyping Board
 * FPGA Development Board
 * FPGA Development System
 * FPGA Evaluation Kit
 * FPGA Evaluation Board
 * FPGA Eval Board
 * FPGA Trainer

These boards are used as either a starting point for quickly prototyping a design in an FPGA, or as a teaching platform for students who are learning about the technology. In general, users will have their own plans and ideas about how they wish to characterise their system, and what kinds of circuits they wish to make or experiment with.
